Colombia Nariño Microlot Single Origin Espresso

Beginning with tart pops of citrus and plum, then finishing with bittersweet notes of cocoa, this espresso provides a delightfully sweet experience. When paired with milk, the syrupy body of this Colombia Nariño Microlot Espresso creates a fluffy, marshmallow-like texture.
For our first single-origin espresso of 2020, we wanted to highlight small producers from Yacanquer in the Nariño region—one of our favorite coffee producing regions in Colombia. This coffee is the culmination of a year's worth of coffee production from four producers: Jennifer Eliana Criollo, Rigoberto Díaz Navarro, Zoila Rita Armero Cerón, and Juan Fabriciano Cañar Manchabajoy. First, these farmers brought samples of their lots to a dry mill for selection and processing. Then, the best lots were set aside for exporters and buyers to taste and survey. After cupping the coffees, we selected these four lots, specifically for our single-origin espresso, due to their lively sweetness, acidity, and body. Enjoy!
