STORY
Las Lajas is an organic micromill located in Sabanilla de Alajuela in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica. Doña Francisca and Don Oscar are third generation coffee producers. They are known for being one of the first to process high quality Honeys in Central America. Las Lajas mills coffee from their family farms and separates each lot by the day it is picked, making their coffees fully traceable. Golden Honey gets its name from the color of the unroasted coffee seed. The three types of honey coffees are yellow, golden, and black and each color is dependent on the amount of direct sunlight the seed receives during processing. This golden honey is pulpy and sweet and shows a balance between processing and cultivar.
