BRAZIL SITIO JOAO NETO

Ethiopia Sidamo Sasaba Single Origin Espresso

TASTING NOTES
BODY: LIGHT
FLAVOR: NECTARINE, ORANGE ZEST, JASMINE TEA
FINISH: SWEET

This offering provides coffee drinkers with a silky-smooth body that is the perfect medium for the delicate floral and fruity flavor notes. The orange zest hints add a citrus overtone to the cup that is balanced by the pure sweetness of nectarine and light floral jasmine notes that develop with each sip. The coffee settles into a slightly drying finish, wrapping up the citrus and floral notes with bittersweet dark chocolate.

STORY
The Sasaba Washing Station is located in the Oromia region of Ethiopia, miles away from any major townships. The washing station is relatively remote, accessible via dangerous and rough roads that typically require advanced off-road vehicles to traverse. The washing station is highly organized and has shown much potential to continue to grow and produce high-quality coffee. The smallholder farmers in the area typically own 10-15 coffee trees that are harvested from September to December. These farmers sell their cherries to the washing station to be processed and dried. The Sasaba Washing Station is one of many washing stations in Ethiopia that continues to develop and grow year after year. Enjoy!
