FLAVOR: POMEGRANATE, ALMOND, MAPLE SYRUP
This offering presents drinkers with a light, silky mouthfeel while still providing depth and complexity akin to maple syrup. The flavors from the coffee quickly develop on the palate, punching through with notes of pomegranate, lightly roasted almonds, and brown sugar sweetness. Just as soon as the flavors appear, they disappear off the palate cleanly with an elegant and short finish that makes for a wonderfully easy drinking experience.
Finca La Colmenita, or "The Beehive," sits at the end of a steep, narrow mountain road in the Buena Vista area of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The scenic valley below provides a breathtaking backdrop for the perilous drive up to the farm. From the moment he purchased La Colmenita, Francisco Cardona Martin had a singular vision: to produce the highest-quality coffee by utilizing unique coffee varietals and investing heavily in equipment and advanced farming techniques. Nearly all the profits made by La Colmenita are reinvested back into the farm to continuously improve the quality of the coffee and further develop their production methods. Enjoy!
