Kenya Rungeto Kiangoi
FLAVOR: CHERRY, BUTTERSCOTCH, VANILLA
The Rungeto Cooperative Society was formed in its current iteration in 1997 when they split from the well-known Ngiriama Cooperative Society and re-opened their mill in Kirinyaga. Coffee production runs deep in this community; the first crops were planted in 1952. In the following decade, three coffee factories were founded and continue to mill coffee under the control of the Rungeto Cooperative Society. Kiangoi is the newest mill in the Rungeto Cooperative Society but as you can tell by the quality of this coffee they have mastered their craft in a short amount of time. This is the first coffee on our tour of Kenya this year. Enjoy!
