STORY
The Hingakawa Women's Cooperative is a women-focused group within the Abakundakawa Cooperative in the Gakenke region of Rwanda. Hingakawa translates to "let us grow coffee" in the local Rwandan dialect. It signifies the rallying call for the women who are determined to produce high-quality coffee in their war-torn country. The co-op is constantly looking to improve the lives of their members by purchasing communal farmland and distributing livestock. Their plans include building a training center for various initiatives such as child development and community nutrition. The coffee produced at the Hingakawa Women's Cooperative is a testament to the dedication and passion of the women in the region.
