The coffee meets the palate with hints of pecan and caramel nut brittle that is accompanied by fruity red plum and orange notes. Fazenda Samambaia is a Brazilian farm with deep history and tradition. The estate has been in the Cambraia family since 1896. While stepping on the farm may feel like one is stepping back in time, Henrique Dias Cambraia has modernized much of the farm's production and processing. The farm is a member of the Santo Antônio Estates (SanCoffee), a collective of medium-to-large scale farms in Campos das Vertentes. SanCoffee uses sophisticated farming and processing techniques including a full-time quality control staff, a well-equipped cupping lab, and a state of the art dry-mill. Fazenda Samambaia has recently begun experimenting with hand-picked, small batch natural lots that are a striking contrast to the nation's typical mass-produced coffees.
